Some YouTube TV subscribers may be encountering issues when trying to access their account or watch videos. The service is aware of the problem and it is expected to be fixed in due course. It is also not an issue specific to YouTube TV, but one which seems to be affecting multiple YouTube services.
YouTube TV is one of the more popular live TV streaming services in the US, so when a problem does occur, it has the potential to affect a significant number of users at the same time. During the year, subscribers may run into occasional performance-related issues. However, there are also times when a service like YouTube TV encounters a more immediate and sudden problem. Which is exactly what is now happening.
Some YouTube TV subscribers are noting issues when trying to access the service. This is a known issue with YouTube having confirmed there is a problem and one that affects multiple YouTube services, including YouTube TV. As of right now, it remains unclear how widespread the problem is, whether it is only affecting certain platforms and devices, and when exactly it will be fixed.
The notice from YouTube goes on to explain that subscribers may encounter any of the following issues:
- Unable to sign-in or switch accounts
- Unable to cast to your TV or use the app on a gaming console
- Left-hand Navigation Menus and Setting menus are not appearing / not loading
- ‘No internet connection’ error message when watching videos
For any users that are experiencing any of the problems mentioned above, then there is not a lot they can do to fix the problem. While it is sometimes possible to fix something like a ‘no connection’ error message, this one is slightly different and will require a fix from YouTube. On that note, the company does say that it is aware of the problem and currently working on a fix.
