All YouTube TV subscribers are now being subjected to a price increase but the exact date that an individual subscriber will start paying the higher rate varies. For existing subscribers currently billed via Google Play, they appear to be getting the best deal (longest delay) overall.
Earlier today YouTube TV confirmed that it was increasing the cost of its base live TV plan from $64.99 to $72.99 per month, resulting in an increase of $8 per month. For those signing up through the YouTube TV website right now, they will see that the price increase is already being applied to all new subscribers, and irrespective of their payment method.
For existing subscribers, however, they are being given some extra time to adjust to the new pricing. As explained in this help post, all existing base plan subscribers will see the new price reflected on their first monthly bill on or after April 18, 2023.
Considering people sign up at different times of the month, and their billing cycle is based on that initial signup date, individual subscribers will need to check their account to see whether they will be charged the higher rate on April 18 or at a later date.
For any YouTube TV subscribers that are currently being billed via Google Play, they actually won’t be charged the new $72.99 monthly price before June 15, 2023, according to the same help post. Essentially, they are getting almost two months longer than any other subscriber, and won’t start paying the new rate for three months from today.
“If you subscribe to YouTube TV via Google Play:
You’ll be charged the new monthly price ($72.99) for a YouTube TV Base Plan on your first billing cycle on or after June 15, 2023.“

Unfortunately, any subscribers that are billed through Google Play and also signed up to the 4K Plus add-on won’t start paying the new lower ($9.99) rate until July 17, 2023 at the earliest.
At the same time as announcing the base plan price increase, YouTube confirmed that the price of the 4K Plus add-on was being reduced down from the previous $19.99 cost to $9.99 per month.
Similar to the base plan price increase, the 4K Plus price decrease is already live for new and existing subscribers.
