YouTube TV has now added TUDN to its channel lineup, providing base subscribers with another option for watching live sports. Even though YouTube TV was already a good option for catching live soccer, the addition of TUDN will unlock even more live matches, including opening up access to Liga MX.
The cost of a YouTube TV subscription is currently $64.99 per month for the standard base plan, which unlocks access to more than 100 live TV channels. Alternatively, consumers can opt for the $34.99 per month Spanish plan, which provides access to more than 25 Spanish-language TV channels. Both of these YouTube TV plans do also come with the option to expand the channel lineups through the use of add-ons.
One new channel that doesn’t require an add-on is TUDN, as YouTube TV has confirmed that the popular Univision-owned channel has been added to the base plan at no additional cost. Although the confirmation Tweet looked to highlight the channel’s arrival being just in time for Mexico’s next game on November 9th, the YouTube TV website shows TUDN is already available for those signing up to the live TV service for the first time. Likewise, existing YouTube TV subscribers will find the channel has already been added to their live TV guide, and shows up as an option when manually searching for the channel.
It’s also worth noting that YouTube TV also hinted at the arrival of Zona Fútbol, TUDNXtra, “and more” in a follow-up Tweet. However, no specific date was provided as to when these additional channels might become available, or whether they will require an add-on.
In the meantime, YouTube TV subscribers should find that TUDN is a good addition for those in the US interested in watching Spanish-language soccer games. With access to Champions League and Europa League games as well, some homes might find that the addition of TUDN means they no longer need a Paramount Plus subscription to watch the latest European matches.
