YouTube TV is currently offering free trials that last up to 21 days. With three weeks of free access on offer, this can be a good way to test out the live TV streaming service for free over a longer period of time. This is all the more important with services like YouTube TV considering the high monthly subscription cost.
At $64.99 per month, YouTube TV is at the premium end of the live TV streaming spectrum, although a subscription does also come with some premium features that can help to justify the cost. For example, each family member gets their own unique (and unlimited) cloud DVR. For those that are signing up to the service for the first time, YouTube TV tends to offer a standard 7-day free trial.
Right now, however, YouTube TV is offering free trials that last as long as 21 days. The exact length appears to vary, so some users may find they are only offered 14 days when signing up through the YouTube TV website. According to YouTube, extended free trial lengths are offered at random. This varying free trial promotion officially went live on October 1st and is due to remain available up until October 10, 2022, at 11:59 pm PT.
For reference, YouTube TV is still offering a deal which reduces the cost of a subscription by $10 per month for the first three months. This means that new customers can currently get three weeks access for free, and then only pay $55 per month for the first three months. Unless canceled before the end of the third month, the YouTube TV subscription will automatically change to the higher $65 per month rate.
As to be expected, most of the other usual caveats apply, with the most important one being that this offer is only available to those that haven’t been a YouTube TV subscriber in the past. This restriction does also include those that have previously used up a free trial, but didn’t hang around to become a paid subscriber.
