YES Network has launched a new YES Rewards loyalty program that rewards app users for watching games and interacting with the app in general.
YES Network has been on a bit of an app and fan experience expansion of late. Just last week, the sports network expanded support of its Live Stats feature to smart TVs and streaming player apps running on the Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Google TV platforms.
In its latest app upgrade, YES Network has partnered with LiveLike to launch the new YES Rewards loyalty program. According to Yes Network, this marks the launch of “the first app-based loyalty program for TV sports viewing,” and through the new program, users can “earn prizes by engaging with YES App content and features.”
As YES explains, fans earn points based on the number of games and other programs they watch in the YES App, as well as the amount of time spent engaged with that content, and how frequently they engage with app features like Pick-N-Play and Pick-N-Play Live.
Some of the provided examples of how app users can earn points include:
- Signing up for a YES App account
- Watching live Yankees games (and Nets and Liberty games in the future)
- Watching other YES App programming, including The Michael Kay Show or one of the app’s exclusive lifestyle shows such as Home Plate: New York
- Playing the YES App’s Pick-N-Play and Pick-N-Play Live games
For those eager to get in on the action, YES Rewards has been enabled today, and in time for today’s New York Yankees-Oakland A’s game telecast.
In the future, the plan is to also make YES Rewards available for Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty game telecasts as well.
