YES Network has launched its own direct-to-consumer streaming service making it possible for homes to purchase a subscription directly. As to be expected, the new subscription option is only available to sports fans based in YES’ regional coverage territory.
The new YES subscription is available to purchase directly within the existing YES App and unlocks access to all New York Yankees, Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty games that are shown on YES. It is also possible to sign up through the Watch YES Network website. In terms of the cost, YES now offers both monthly and annual subscription options.
For those wanting to sign up on a monthly basis, the standard cost will be $24.99 each month. However, and as part of a special launch offer, YES has confirmed that it is currently offering the monthly subscription plan at just $19.99 per month and this price remains locked-in for the remainder of 2023. Those wanting to sign up at the cheaper rate will need to subscribe by April 30, 2023.
For those willing to pay for the year ahead, the annual plan will be priced at $239.99, which works out to be $19.99 per month over the course of a full 12 months. Again, YES is currently offering a launch deal which brings the annual plan cost plan down to $199.99, and this breaks down to around $16.66 per month over 12 months. Once again, the annual plan will only be available at the discounted rate through April 30, 2023.
As mentioned, the new YES subscription is accessible through the existing YES app and this is the same app which live TV subscribers can use to access YES Network. For reference, those live TV customers will remain unaffected by this change and will continue to be able to access the app in the same way, and using their TV Everywhere credentials.
For those without a live TV plan that includes YES Network, however, they now have an option to sign up directly, and just in time for Major League Baseball’s Opening Day.
