WOW! previously confirmed that it had signed an agreement with Google to offer YouTube TV, and that change is now official. As a result, WOW! customers can now bundle YouTube TV with their WOW! internet package and save on the cost.
In May of this year, WOW! initially confirmed its plan, stating that the goal was to start offering YouTube TV as the pay-TV service bundled with its Internet service. In the process, WOW! also confirmed that it was going to discontinue its own TV services, including WOW! tv+.
Today, WOW! announced that change has now started to take effect and shape. According to WOW!, YouTube TV is now available to its entire footprint. In addition, WOW!’s residential video customers can now take advantage of special promotional offers when bundling YouTube TV.
One of the offers that’s already available is the option to save $10 on the monthly cost of YouTube TV for one year when bundling Google’s live TV service with WOW! Internet.
As an example of how this deal works, the Fiber 100 Just the basics internet plan is one of WOW!’s cheapest plans, priced at $30 a month. If bundling YouTube TV, the Fiber 100 + YouTube TV package costs $92.99 a month, resulting in the addition of YouTube TV at $62.99 a month, which is $10 cheaper than the current $72.99 a month price.
At the other end of the spectrum, the Fiber 5 Gig Ultimate connectivity plan costs $185 a month. In contrast, the new Fiber 5 Gig + YouTube TV bundle costs $247.99 a month. Again, this results in the addition of YouTube TV at $62.99 a month.
For those that would prefer not to bundle their live TV streaming plan with their internet plan, it is worth noting that YouTube TV is currently offering a 21-day free trial to new users. This is in addition to an $8 a month saving for the first three months, taking the total down to $64.99 a month.
