The cheapest way to watch TBS without cable is Sling TV. For any consumers interested in accessing the channel and watching TBS shows, movies and live sports events including basketball, Sling TV is going to be the cheapest option overall. However, if more channels or recording space matters, then consumers may want to consider an alternate service.
Live TV streaming services are a great alternative to cable. While many might question the savings on offer when switching from a traditional TV package, live TV services tend to not require any specific hardware, additional fees, or contracts making it easy to cancel at a moment’s notice. This is something that’s all the more important, considering how often a channel lineup can change with popular channels dropped in the process.
Although consumers are unlikely to choose a live TV streaming service based on one channel, it is worth knowing in advance whether a preferred service includes any channels a consumer wants the most. For example, and although a great option for sports, fuboTV doesn’t include TBS. Likewise, while Philo is a popular option due to the low price, Philo doesn’t offer TBS in its current channel lineup.
Cheapest way to watch TBS
Priced at $35 per month, Sling TV is currently the cheapest way to watch TBS without cable. In spite of the lower price than other live TV streaming services, Sling TV includes a variety of popular channels with its plans, making it a good option for anyone looking for an affordable way to stream TBS and other channels.
Sling TV offers two main plans, Sling Orange and Sling Blue. While both of these plans are priced at $35 per month, they do come with slightly different channel lineups. However, that’s not an issue with TBS, considering the popular channel is available through both of the main Sling TV plans.
Besides TBS and a number of other popular channels, both Sling Orange and Sling Blue also come with 50 hours of cloud DVR, the option to stream on multiple devices at the same time, and a selection of additional movies and shows available to watch on demand.
Other ways to watch TBS
The next cheapest option to watch TBS without cable is either Hulu Live TV or YouTube TV. Both of these services are priced at $65 per month and both include TBS in their base plan. However, at almost twice the price of Sling TV, both Hulu Live TV and YouTube TV are considerably more expensive.
Although these two services are priced exactly the same, they do come with some notable differences. In Hulu Live TV‘s case, one of the major selling points is the inclusion of the basic Hulu subscription at no additional cost. This represents a saving of at least $5.99 per month. In contrast, YouTube TV comes with an unlimited cloud DVR, making it a good option for anyone wanting to record as much TBS content as they can.
Besides Hulu Live TV and YouTube TV, the only other main option for watching TBS without cable is AT&T TV. This streaming service offers a variety of different live TV plans, with TBS is included in the Entertainment plan. While this is the cheapest AT&T TV plan, at $69.99 per month, it is more expensive than all of the other options for watching TBS without cable.
Service | Price p/m | Channels | Free Trial |
---|---|---|---|
Sling TV | $35 | 30+/45+ | 3 days* |
Hulu Live TV | $65 | 65+ | 7 days |

AT&T TV | $70 | 65+ | 7 days |
TBS and TV Everywhere
One of the additional benefits of streaming live TV is the option to watch directly through the network’s app and website. This is made possible through TV Everywhere support. Essentially, many live TV subscribers can use their account credentials to authenticate their subscription and watch live and on demand content through channel apps and websites.
When it comes to TBS, however, this is not really an option. To be clear, TBS does support TV Everywhere and consumers can log in to the TBS website and app with their TV subscription and watch live. However, the TBS TV Everywhere support currently does not extend to live TV streaming services.
With no TV Everywhere support available, Sling TV, Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV and AT&T TV subscribers can only watch TBS live and on demand content directly through their live TV streaming service’s app and website.
