Vizio smart TV users now have access to the TuneIn app and its catalog of over 90,000 global radio stations, podcasts, audiobooks, and more, without the need for an additional device. As is the case with all Vizio apps, TuneIn can now be found in the Apps row on the smart TV’s Home screen.

As the TV is the focal point of the home, Vizio users can continue to enhance their streaming experience by accessing music, sports, news, podcasts and more through services like TuneIn,” said Seta Goldstein, Senior Director of Business Development and Partnerships at Vizio. “We are excited to offer our users an expanded range of 90,000+ radio stations quickly and easily from their Vizio TVs.”

For those new to TuneIn, a vast selection of the content available through the app can be accessed for free. However, there is also the option to subscribe to TuneIn Premium to unlock access to additional programming, including unlimited, ad-free audiobooks as well as live MLB, NHL, English Premier League and college sports games.

TuneIn Premium costs $9.99 a month, and similar to other subscription services, a 7-day free trial is available to all new Premium subscribers. With the app now available on Vizio TVs, users can enable the free trial directly within the new app.

Vizio has built a true entertainment center for consumers with a tremendous user experience that makes it easy to navigate and access content,” said Rich Stern, CEO of TuneIn. “This new integration puts TuneIn in the homes of millions of Vizio owners to explore the full breadth of our offerings. We are constantly elevating our programming to bring listeners the latest and most popular content from stars like Garth Brooks and Tom Hanks to their local radio stations, so there is no shortage of entertainment to choose from.”

In addition to continually adding new apps, Vizio began rolling out a new update towards the end of last year. The update looks to offer smart TV users a better experience by speeding up loading and improving navigation in general.
