Verizon Offering Free Disney+ For 6 Months With Prepaid Unlimited Plans

Verizon Prepaid Disney Plus deal

Verizon is now offering six months of Disney Plus for free to customers that sign up or upgrade to one of its unlimited prepaid plans. This is not the first time Verizon has teamed up with a streaming service to gift or reduce the cost of a subscription. It is also not the first time Verizon has teamed up with Disney Plus.

In fact, it has become somewhat of a trend of late for a phone company to offer free or reduced access to a subscription service. Although it is just another form of bundling ‘phone and TV’ together it can help to lower the cost of streaming for many households. T-Mobile, for example, has partnered with Apple TV, Paramount Plus, Philo, and YouTube TV in the past. Likewise, Verizon has made its own partnerships with different streaming services.

Expanding on one of those partnerships, Verizon is now offering consumers the option to get Disney Plus for free for six months by either signing up or upgrading to the $65 Unlimited or $75 Unlimited Plus prepaid plan. The promotion became available today (July 27, 2022), is due to remain available up until January 31, 2023, and must be redeemed by March 2nd of next year.

Verizon does already offer a Disney Bundle deal to its wireless customers but that promotion is for those signed up to one of the service’s postpaid plans. This is what’s different with the latest promotion as it extends a similar benefit to the company’s prepaid customers as well, making it more accessible to more people. If new to Verizon, a free Disney Plus subscription on its own might not make it worth signing up to a new phone plan, but if already considering the network, or upgrading an existing prepaid plan, then it might be worth considering.

Either way, and as is typical of these promotions, the free Disney Plus subscription will automatically switch to a paid subscription at the end of the six months. The only way to avoid paying the usual $7.99 monthly cost is to cancel the Disney Plus subscription before then.
