Sling TV is now providing subscribers with a free preview of Disney Jr., Disney XD and Nat Geo Wild. Although Sling TV routinely offers free previews to subscribers, this one lasts much longer than usual, with subscribers gaining access to the additional channels throughout August.
While Disney Jr. and Disney XD are both great options for younger family members over the summer holidays, Nat Geo Wild has just wrapped up its Sharkfest season, so there’s plenty of shark-related shows for parents to watch during August as well.
As this is a Sling TV-wide free preview, Disney Jr., Disney XD and Nat Geo Wild are available to all subscribers, including those signed up to Sling Orange and Sling Blue base packages, as well as those subscribed to Sling Latino and Sling’s International packages.
The free preview will also be available to those singing up to Sling TV during the month. While Sling Orange and Sling Blue cost a minimum of $40 a month each, Sling is currently running a 50% off promotion, taking the minimum total down to just $20 for the first month.
For Sling TV subscribers who want to maintain access to these channels following the free preview, Disney Jr. and Disney XD are both included in the $6/mo. Kids Extra add-on, along with Boomerang, BabyTV, NickToons and TeenNick.
In contrast, Nat Geo Wild can only be added to Sling Blue through the $6/mo. Heartland Extra add-on. In addition to Nat Geo Wild, Heartland Extra also unlocks access to American Heroes Channel, The Cowboy Channel, Destination America, Great American Family, Great American Living, INSP, Outdoor Channel, PixL, Pursuit, RFD-TV, Sportsman Channel and World Fishing Network.
