Sling TV Premium Pass: Get Free EPIX, SHOWTIME & STARZ for 30 Days

Sling Free Epix, Showtime and Starz

Sling TV Premium Pass offers new subscribers access to Epix, Showtime and Starz for free for 30 days. This is the equivalent to a $24 saving per month and is available to anyone subscribing to the service’s Orange, Blue, or Orange + Blue subscription plans.

Recently, Sling TV has embarked on a number of ‘stay in and Sling’ promotions and features that have offered new and existing subscribers free access to content during the COVID-19 pandemic. While the current promotion does not appear to be part of that specific campaign, the principle is largely the same with new subscribers able to test paid-for features without actually having to pay.

According to Sling, anyone who Signs up for the service starting from today will be eligible for the free access to Epix, Showtime and Starz along with access to all of the movies, shows and on-demand content available through those services. In addition, those who have signed up to Sling recently are also retrospectively eligible – as long as they signed up within the last 30 days.

Sling TV’s Premium Pass in closer detail

Besides not being available to existing customers who have held an active subscription for more than 30 days, it is important to keep in mind that the onus here is on the new subscribers to cancel the additional Premium Pass access before the 30-day period ends to avoid any additional charges.

Sling TV’s plans start at $30 per month and if the premium subscriptions are not cancelled in time, customers will automatically see the second month cost increasing by $24 in total. This extra fee includes Epix charged at $5, Showtime at $10, and Starz at $9.

While the emphasis is on the subscriber to actively cancel in time, this could be a good feature for those considering testing out Sling TV for the first time. With access to all three premium networks at no extra cost, those new subscribers will be able to see exactly which premium add-on, if any, are best-suited to them. While the Premium Pass brings all of these three together, new subscribers do have the option of just maintaining one of the premium add-ons at its individual price, if that’s all they need.

However, one additional point to be aware of is Sling TV’s free trial only lasts for one week. Therefore, anyone who signs up on the understanding of having one-month’s access to Epix, Showtime and Starz, will still be billed after the first seven days for the cost of the main plan, unless they cancel Sling TV altogether.
