Offering an ideal opportunity to get in the festive mood a little earlier than usual, Sling TV subscribers can watch Hallmark Channel for free for the next two weeks. Over the last few months, Sling TV has been providing subscribers with a number of different free previews, but this Hallmark freeview is one of the longest so far.
While Sling TV was fairly active in making new previews available each week during the summer, the frequency has slowed down in recent weeks. That said, the actual free periods have gotten longer. For example, last week saw Sling TV launch an NBA League Pass preview which made it possible to watch NBA games for free between October 18th and October 24th.
This time, it is the turn of Hallmark Channel and the freeview lasts a full two weeks. Starting From today (October 28) and continuing through Friday, November 11th, all paid Sling TV subscribers can watch the Hallmark Channel for free. The launch of this Hallmark freeview comes just after the start of Hallmark Channel’s annual Countdown to Christmas celebrations, and follows a Hallmark Movies Now freeview that Sling TV made available back in July.
During the free period, Sling TV subscribers can watch the live Hallmark channel or check out any of the on-demand Hallmark videos directly in the Sling TV app. According to Sling, Hallmark will be releasing seven premieres during the free period, including A Cozy Christmas Inn, Ghosts of Christmas Always, and Lights, Camera, Christmas!
Watching Hallmark Channel through Sling TV typically requires the Blue or Orange subscriber to add the Lifestyle Extra add-on to their package. The add-on unlocks access to an additional nine channels, including all three Hallmark channels, Lifetime Movie Network, and Magnolia Network. The Lifestyle Extra add-on costs an additional $6 per month.
For those that want to maintain access to Hallmark Channel after the freeview period has come to an end, Lifestyle Extra can be added to either Sling TV plan through the My Account section. For those less interested in watching Hallmark for free over the next two weeks, Sling TV’s next freeview probably won’t be too far away.
