Best Sling TV Deals And Discounts In August 2023

Sling TV savings deals dollar

Sling TV routinely offers a number of deals and promotions aimed at new customers and these either usually result in a saving on the cost of the first month of live TV or the option to get a device for free.

Even though the service has encountered multiple price increases over the years, pushing the price up to $40 per month in the process, Sling TV is still an affordable choice when compared to many other live TV streaming services, including DirecTV Stream, Fubo, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV.

Sling offers two main base plans to choose from, and even though they differ in terms of the channels and the number of streams, they aren’t usually treated any differently when it comes to deals and promotions.

In other words, most of the deals listed below can be redeemed against any Sling TV plan, including the combined Orange & Blue package.

Best Sling TV deals: August 2023

Sling TV is currently offering the following deals and promotions for new subscribers to choose from.

50% off 1st monthGet Deal
$10 off 1st month and free Fire TV Stick LiteGet Deal
30 days of free AMC+, MGM+, Showtime, StarzGet Deal
Free month of News Extra (Sling Blue)Get Deal

As these are individual promotions, some of them cannot be combined with each other. As these deals are also primarily aimed at new subscribers, they usually exclude current subscribers and sometimes returning subscribers as well.

50% off first month

One of the more popular Sling TV deals is a half-off promotion which reduces the cost of any live TV package by 50% for the first month. Even though this reduction is only for one month, it is still a great way to save on the initial cost.

$40-55/mo

  • 30+ channels
  • 1-3 streams
  • 50-Hour DVR

Deal: First month only $20.

This deal reduces the cost of either the Sling Blue or the Sling Orange plan down to as low as $20 for the first month. It can also be used to lower the cost of the combined Sling Orange & Blue package to as low as $27.50 for the first month.

$10 off 1st month and free Fire TV Stick Lite

If you happen to be in need of a new streaming player, then this deal might be the better option for you. Although you won’t save as much as the 50% off your first month offer, you can still save $10 on the cost of your first month. More importantly, Sling is throwing in a free Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite (normally $29.99 on Amazon) as well.

30 days of free AMC+, MGM+, Starz, and Showtime

If none of the deals and promotions listed above appeal to you, it might be worth considering this premium bundle. When you sign up to a Sling base plan, you can also get 30 days of AMC+, MGM+, Showtime and Starz for free. These services are available as premium add-ons and priced between $5 and $10 a month each.

As is typically the case with add-on deals, all three subscriptions will renew at the usual higher rate unless they are removed before the 30-day period comes to an end.

Free month of News Extra (Sling Blue)

When signing up to the Sling Blue plan, it is also possible to get one month of the News Extra add-on for free. News Extra usually costs an additional $6 per month, and unlocks access to 10 additional news channels.

With News Extra, subscribers get access to BBC News, CGTN, CNBC, Fox Business, Law & Crime, NDTV 24×7, News18, NewsMax, Science Channel, and WGN America.

A note about Sling TV deals

Which deal is best depends on the needs of the individual or household, and no matter which deal you are considering, it is worth keeping in mind that any discounts or promotions are only for a limited time.

It is also worth knowing when the next non-discounted payment is to be taken and how to cancel a subscription. This will help to ensure problems don’t surface later on, if you find that Sling TV is not the right live TV service for you.

  1. I do not need a google chrome device and do not want to pay two months in advance. I want to try it again without paying anything because the channels have changed since my first trial. I want to make sure that I get Fox News, Discovery, History, Bravo, and TLC before I sign up.
