Sling is now offering the chance to win a cash reward for simply watching movies, shows, sports, and more. The new Rewards program is currently in the process of rolling out, so the option to take part might not be available to all existing subscribers just yet.

Essentially, those that are enrolled will be entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win money after watching 30 minutes of Sling TV in a single day. One day’s watching equals 10 entries into the sweepstakes, and if a user manages to watch 30 minutes a day, multiple days in a row, they will receive additional bonus entries.

For example, two days in a row will result in an additional 20 entries for the second day, and 7 days in a row will result in an additional 70 entries for the seventh day. Speaking of which, a 7-day viewing stretch is the maximum streak available.

In total, 32 winners will be selected. While the grand prize is $5,000, two $2,000 and three $1,000 prizes are also up for grabs. The remaining 26 winners will receive a $500 cash reward each. For reference, Sling seems to be suggesting this type of ‘Watch & Win Sweepstakes‘ will become more of a regular occurrence over time, and potentially offering a lot more money in the future.

As we continue to roll out Rewards to the rest of our subscribers, the prize values will only grow. Rewards could soon award over half a million dollars in total cash prizes to our winners.”

The Rewards program officially kicked off yesterday (Feb. 6), runs through Feb. 19, and is available to Sling Orange, Sling Blue, and Orange & Blue subscribers. As mentioned, the program is still in the process of rolling out and currently requires an early access invite. According to Sling, these invites are being sent out to “select active customers” via email and in-app notifications.
