Roku Devices Purchased In July Come With 2 Free Months Of MLS Season Pass

If you buy a Roku device in July, or already have, you are probably eligible for two free months of MLS Season Pass. This is only the latest in a string of MLS Season Pass deals that have been doing the rounds recently.

At the start of last month, Apple dropped the price of MLS Season Pass as part of a mid-season sale. While that promotion has now ended, it did reduce the cost down from $99 a season to just $49. Also in June, LG was offering TV owners the opportunity to sign up to MLS Season Pass over the June 23-26 weekend and get two months for free.

Similar to the LG deal, Roku is also offering two free months of MLS Season Pass to owners of its devices. Unlike LG’s deal, however, this promotion is specifically aimed at those buying a new device (and qualified returning subscribers).

Essentially, any Roku devices that are purchased and activated between June 30 and July 31, 2023 are eligible for the deal. Considering this promotion has been live since June 30, those that have already purchased and activated a Roku device recently are also eligible. So long as a device was purchased in July, owners have up until August 7, 2023 to redeem the offer.

Speaking of redemption, Roku will send a promo code by email after the device has been activated. As a result, Roku does warn that new device owners will want to make sure they have opted-in to receive Roku emails after activating the device to avoid missing out.

Once the Roku customer has received the email, they will then be able to use the included redemption code to sign up for a two-month MLS Season Pass free trial. As is typical of deals like this, the MLS subscription will automatically renew at the usual rate after the second free month, unless canceled.

Considering the MLS season runs through until October, there are still plenty of games to watch during the two free months, including Messi’s Inter Miami debut this Friday (July 21).

Priced at just $29.99, the Roku Express is currently the cheapest Roku player available, and a good way to save on the cost of MLS Season Pass and a new streaming player.
