Amazon Prime Members can currently save at least 50% on the cost of either a Discovery+ or Starz subscription for the first three months by signing up through Prime Video Channels.
A Discovery+ subscription usually costs a minimum of $4.99 each month. This price is for the ad-supported plan, with the ad-free tier costing $8.99 a month. Right now, however, Amazon is offering a 50% discount on these prices, taking the cost of the ad-supported plan down to $2.50/month for three months and the ad-free plan down to $4.50/month for three months. Amazon’s Discovery+ offer ends Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
When it comes to Starz, the savings are even greater. While a standard Starz subscription usually costs $9.99 a month, Amazon is offering Prime members the option to sign up at just $1.99/month for the first three months, resulting in a monthly saving of $8. Amazon’s Starz offer ends Monday, April 1, 2024.
If choosing to subscribe to either of these deals, it is worth keeping in mind that the subscriptions will auto-renew at their usual, higher rates after the final discounted month. In terms of Discovery+, this means either $4.99 or $7.99, depending on whether signing up to the ad-supported or ad-free plan. In terms of Starz, the subscription will auto-renew at the usual $9.99 a month rate, unless canceled.
As these subscriptions are managed by Amazon, cancellations will need to be made directly through Prime Video Channels and not through Discovery+ or Starz.
