Philo Adds FETV To Base Plan, FMC To Movies & More Add-On

Philo has now slightly extended its channel lineup through the addition of Family Entertainment Television (FETV) to its base package. At the same time, Family Movie Classics (FMC) has also now been added to the Movies & More add-on. With both of these channels now available through Philo, subscribers have even more family-friendly movies and shows to watch.

A standard Philo subscription costs $35 per month making it a much cheaper solution than many other live TV services. Although the lower price does affect the channel lineup when drawing comparisons with other services, Philo still offers more than 60 channels for the low monthly cost.

That lineup has now grown by one, thanks to the addition of FETV. The channel has been added to the base plan at no additional cost to subscribers. As the same suggests, FETV is focused on delivering programming that’s suitable for the whole family, and includes popular shows from the 1950s through to the 1990s, such as Perry Mason, Bewitched, and The Lone Ranger, among others. In the announcement, Philo says the addition of FETV comes “just in time for “indoor weather” and the upcoming holidays“, making it a good option for when families come together during the Holiday season.

In addition to FETV, Philo has also now added FMC to Movies & More. Although Philo doesn’t offer too many ways to customize a plan, it does provide the Movies & More add-on which unlocks a number of movie-related channels. Movies & More costs an additional $3 more per month on top of the price of the base plan. Similar to FETV, FMC also comes with an emphasis on content that the whole family can enjoy, albeit this time in the form of classic movies.

For those new to Philo in general, the live TV streaming service does offer a 7-day free trial and only requires a phone number or email address to start the free trial, making it an easy option to test out without a commitment. The Movies & More upgrade also comes with its own 7-day free trial, so both new and existing subscribers can try the add-on before having to make the first monthly payment.
