Philo Adds 10 More Channels Including EarthxTV And A&E’s Military History

Philo channels October 2022

Philo has just added another bunch of new channels to its lineup, including EarthxTV, MovieSphere by Lionsgate and A&E Network’s Military History. In total, the latest channel drops unlocks access to an additional 10 channels.

Of the 10 new channels, EarthxTV and Military History are the only paid channels. That is, they are the channels that have officially been added as base package channels. The remaining eight channels arrive as free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels, and consist of Mythical 24/7, MovieSphere, OuterSphere, Ebony TV, Nashville, Are We There Yet, and Anger Management.

For those interested in a more detailed explanation of what each channel has to offer, here’s how Philo describes the latest channel additions.

  • Mythical 24/7 – Created by Rhett McLaughlin & Link Neal (AKA Rhett & Link), founders & co-CEOs of Mythical Entertainment, Mythical 24/7 is among the first creator-led free ad-supported streaming TV (FAST) channels. Mythical 24/7 is available around the clock with a curated feed of shows, including Good Mythical Morning (the most-watched daily show on the Internet), Good Mythical More, Mythical Kitchen, and Ear Biscuits. Affirming their positions as two of the most successful creators in the entertainment industry, Rhett & Link continue to produce stand-out creator-driven content and bring a next-generation television experience to the post-broadcast generation globally. This level of linear distribution is not only unprecedented in the Creator Economy but also impressive by the standards of traditional studios, further proving the impressive innovation of Rhett & Link and Neel Yalamarthy, Mythical Entertainment’s SVP of Strategy & Corporate Development.
  • MovieSphere by Lionsgate – brings your favorite films from Lionsgate’s acclaimed library together into one free streaming channel. From blockbuster hits to indie favorites and everything in between, MovieSphere has it all.
  • OuterSphere by Lionsgate – a sci-fi entertainment channel delivering mind-bending series and movies from Lionsgate’s vast library and beyond. • HerSphere – is the ultimate channel to stream empowering, enjoyable, and always entertaining female-driven TV series and movies. Whatever you’re in the mood for, HerSphere brings together the women you love from Lionsgate’s premium library and beyond.
  • Ebony TV by Lionsgate – offers premium curated content that includes award-winning films, engaging comedies, and groundbreaking series that celebrate the global richness of Black culture.
  • Nashville – A legendary queen of country music struggles to maintain her place in the spotlight while dealing with an ambitious rising pop-country vixen who wants to knock her off the throne. Nashville is a critically acclaimed drama series starring Emmy® Nominee Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere, about the cutthroat world of music and politics and what it really means to become a star and stay one. Back-to-back episodes of Nashville are now streaming on the Nashville Channel.
  • Are We There Yet – Based on the hit film from acclaimed actor/producer Ice Cube and starring Terry Crews, Are We There Yet? centers on the Kingston-Persons of Seattle facing the challenges of everyday life in a new blended family.
  • Anger Management – Charlie is a successful therapist who thrives on the chaos in his life while still battling his own anger issues. Charlie’s colorful cast of patients includes his weekly regulars and the group of inmates he counsels pro bono at a state prison. His life is further complicated by his relationships with women, including his own therapist and best friend, his ex- wife and his 13-year-old daughter.
  • EarthxTV – delivers a diverse lineup of programming that spotlights the initiatives of innovators and visionaries who are changing how we look at our planet and its resources. Viewers can enjoy top shows like Texas Gator Savers which follows Gary Saurage and his wife Shannon and their Gator Country team rescuing alligators who have wandered where they shouldn’t be and working together to relocate them to their refuge, House of What?! exploring eclectic and sustainable homes and homeowners who share a love for strange, recycled, or up-cycled building materials, and Defenders of the Wild with Ivan Carter, an adrenaline-fueled adventure with Ivan Carter, who works with experts to implement solutions for a balanced wildlife ecosystem.
  • Military History – a spin-off channel of The HISTORY Channel, featuring programs about the history of the military and significant combat events.

Philo has been on a bit of a channel splurge of late. Just last month, the company added the Vevo Holiday channel to its lineup, and this followed the addition of Vevo ’80s, Vevo ’90s, Vevo Country, Vevo Hip-Hop, and Vevo Pop earlier in the year.

Also in November, Philo added 10 FAST Channels from AMC Networks. That channel drop included the likes of AMC Thrillers, Portlandia, The Walking Dead Universe, and All Reality by WE tv, among others.

In October, the Philo lineup received another boost thanks to the addition of seven FAST channels from Sony and Tastemade, as well as MeTV+ and Confess by Nosey. At the same time, the Movies! channel was also added to the Movies & More add-on.
