Peacock Pulls $20 Annual Plan Deal Almost Two Weeks Earlier Than Expected

If you were holding out on signing up to Peacock‘s $19.99 annual plan deal, it looks like you’ve now missed out, as Peacock has pulled the promotion almost two weeks earlier than expected.

Peacock first launched the annual plan promotion on May 29 and, at the time, the deal was scheduled to remain available through June 30. However, the Peacock website has now taken down the deal completely. Streaming Better can confirm that the promotion was still available as recently as yesterday.

In response to Michael Saves on X, the PeacockTVCare account confirmed that the deal has officially ended. In spite of originally due to end on June 30, Peacock has not provided a reason for pulling the promotion early.

Here’s the original terms and conditions of the deal:

This Peacock promo code (the “Code”) grants you access to Peacock’s ad-supported, video on demand offering currently branded as Peacock Premium (“Peacock Premium”) subject to all applicable terms and conditions, for $19.99 for 1 year (your “Access Period”) (currently a $59.99/year retail value). This Code is valid May 29, 2024 – June 30, 2024 and is subject to early termination (the “Redemption Period”). Code becomes void once redeemed or expired and must be redeemed by the last date of the Redemption Period.”

While the above does make clear that the deal was originally scheduled to run through June 30, it also does state the promotion “is subject to early termination.” In addition, the same terms and conditions (also now removed) stated the following:

While supplies last. Programming and content subject to change.  Peacock reserves the right to modify or terminate this offer at any time and for any reason. After such time, Peacock shall not be obligated to accept redemptions or any further attempts to use any Code.”

Generally speaking, it is unusual for a streaming service to end a deal earlier than usual, even if it is proving to be an extremely popular deal, so it is a surprise that Peacock has opted to pull the plug so early.

Either way, and with the promotion now over, new subscribers are once again being charged $59.99 a year for the standard (ad-supported) Peacock Premium plan and $119.99 for the ad-free Peacock Premium Plus plan.

As a reminder, Peacock is planning to increase the price of these plans next month. Once that price increase rolls out, new and renewing subscribers will be looking at $79.99 for the standard Peacock Premium annual plan and $139.99 for the Peacock Premium Plus annual plan.
