Premier League on Peacock: Aug. 14-15 Games You Can Watch Live

Premier League On Peacock 2021

The Premier League is back, and back on Peacock as well. With the opening weekend having kicked off with a victory for Brentford over Arsenal, the action is already well underway. This weekend includes a number of high profile games, including Man United taking on Leeds and Man City at Tottenham. However, neither of these games will be available to watch live on Peacock.

Since Peacock first launched, the service has made a clear play for the growing Premier League audience in the U.S. with the option to watch a number of exclusive games via the streaming service, as well as the option to catch up on other matches via Peacock’s Premier League Replays feature. The option to watch replays did initially encounter a few issues, including blocking access to games originally shown elsewhere. This was only a temporary issue, however, as Peacock re-added the feature roughly one month later.

When it comes to the 2021-22 season, NBC Sports had already confirmed Premier League Replays will be available again. In addition, even more games will be available to watch live via Peacock than was available last season. For this weekend, there are four main games that Peacock subscribers can watch live without the need for a live TV subscription.

Peacock Premier League games shown live: Aug. 14-15

  • Burnley v. Brighton & Hove Albion (K/O Aug. 14 at 10 a.m.)
  • Chelsea v. Crystal Palace (K/O Aug. 14 at 10 a.m.)
  • Everton v. Southampton (K/O Aug. 14 at 10 a.m.)
  • Watford v. Aston Villa (K/O Aug. 14 at 10 a.m.)
  • Norwich City v. Liverpool (K/O Aug. 14 at 12:30 p.m.)

As shown above, all the games available to watch live on Peacock this weekend are taking place on Saturday, which means anyone looking to stream either West Ham away at Newcastle or Man City away at Spurs will need access to NBCSN.

For reference, when Norwich take on Liverpool, the game is not only being shown on Peacock, but also on NBC and Universo as well. Which seems to be one of the examples of the increased Premier League coverage that will be available this season, considering the other games are only listed as available to watch via Peacock.

For those new to Peacock, it is free to sign up to the service and watch a variety of shows and movies. However, all of the Premier League games are walled behind the Peacock Premium tiers. The cheapest option is the with ads version at $4.99 while those wanting to skip on the ads can opt for the ad-free Peacock Premium Plus plan at $9.99 per month.
