Peacock or NBCSN? Premier League Schedule Oct. 23 – Oct. 26

Peacock Premier League

The introduction of the Peacock streaming service saw a change to the way many Premier League games are watched by soccer fans in the United States. Here’s an overview of which games will be shown on Peacock and which on NBC-owned channels, including NBCSN, between Friday October 23 and Monday October 26, 2020.

In the past, the vast majority of soccer matches could be viewed on NBCSN or other NBC-owned channels available through a live TV streaming service. The remaining games were then accessible via the company’s optional NBC Sports Gold Premier League Pass.

However, as a means to help promote Peacock, NBC opted to do away with the Premier League Pass and moved those games to Peacock. In fact, Peacock offers even more access than the Sports Gold Pass ever did, with NBC previously confirming that no less than 175 Premier League matches will be exclusively shown on Peacock during the 2020-21 season. This in in addition to full replays of all recent Premier League games.

Watching Premier League on Peacock

For those new to Peacock, there are a few things to be aware of when looking to access Premier League games. Technically, Peacock is a free streaming service. However, Premier League live games are not included in the free tier. Instead, Peacock offers two paid options: Premium and Premium Plus.

The difference between the two is ads. While Premium Plus is ad-free, Premium does include ads. However, Premium only costs $4.99 per month instead of the $9.99 per month Premium Plus. It doesn’t matter which paid version a subscriber opts for as all Premier League games shown on Peacock are available to both Premium and Premium Plus subscribers.

Likewise, while the cheaper Peacock Premium tier does include ads, there are none shown during the actual two 45-minute halves, so there will be no commercial interruption while the clock is ticking. However, Peacock subscribers should expect ads before, after and during each Premier League match half-time.
