Paramount+ with Showtime is currently half off for the first three months when signing up through either DirecTV or Hulu. With 50% off the first three months, new subscribers are basically getting access to the Paramount+ with Showtime tier for the same price as the cheaper Paramount+ Essential plan.
Considering a Paramount+ with Showtime subscription typically costs $11.99 a month when signing up through DirecTV or through Hulu, this deal results in a saving of around $6 a month, or $18 over all three months.
While DirecTV does require the subscriber to be signed up to a DirecTV or DirecTV Stream package, Hulu’s Paramount+ with Showtime add-on can be added to either a Hulu Live TV plan or a basic Hulu subscription. As an added benefit, Hulu is also offering the first seven days for free as part of a free trial.
According to Hulu, this offer is due to expire at the end of the month (Feb. 29), so those considering signing up have a full week to decide whether this is the right deal for them. It currently remains unclear if DirecTV’s offer ends at the same time, but that would seem likely to be the case.
At present, we haven’t found any other streaming services offering the same discount on the same add-on. For example, YouTube TV continues to charge $10.99 a month for its Paramount+ with Showtime add-on. Likewise, we’re not seeing the same offer through any of the third party stores, including Amazon’s Prime Video Channels, The Roku Channel and YouTube Primetime Channels.
With the Paramount+ website not offering the same deal either, DirecTV and Hulu appear to be the cheapest ways to sign up to the Paramount+ with Showtime tier right now.
