Paramount Plus is available to stream on a variety of compatible devices, including smart TVs, streaming players, smartphones and more. However, there are still some platforms and devices that have yet to gain Paramount+ support. Therefore, it is important to check whether the devices in a home are compatible before signing up to the streaming service.
Paramount Plus plans start at $4.99 per month with a subscription offering access to content from a number of popular brands, including BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, and more. As a result, a Paramount+ subscription is likely to appeal to other members of a household just as much as the individual who signs up to the service to begin with.
In spite of the wide selection of shows and movies to stream, device support could be an issue for some individuals and households. Like many other services, Paramount Plus is continually building out support for devices, which inevitably means that some homes may have to wait a little longer for their TVs and players to gain support.
Paramount+ supported devices
Generally speaking, Paramount+ subscribers should not find it too difficult to stream their favorite shows and movies, as the service does provide support for the most popular platforms.

For those that find that their devices are currently unsupported, device support is a never-ending aspect and it is possible for a device to gain support in the future. For example, even though there was previously no app available to download on a PlayStation 5, that changed in December 2022 when Paramount Plus support for Sony’s newest game console officially became available.
Streaming Paramount+ on a smart TV
Smart TVs are often one of the more neglected areas of device support, but that’s not quite the case with Paramount+. Below is a list of compatible smart TV platforms.
- Android TV (Hisense, Sony Bravia, and TCL)
- Amazon Fire TV
- LG TV
- Roku
- Samsung TV
- Vizio TV
With Android TV, Fire TV and Roku support alone, many individuals and households will likely find their smart TV is able to download a Paramount+ app. Depending on the operating system, the app should be available to download either from the Amazon App Store, Google Play Store or Roku Channel store.
For those without a TV running on a popular smart TV platform like Amazon Fire TV or Android TV, Paramount+ is also available to directly download on Samsung TVs from the Samsung App Store, on LG TVs from the LG Store, and on Vizio TVs from the Vizio Store. However, there are some limitations to the level of smart TV support afforded to these platforms.
For example, owners of an older model may find their TV is not supported even though the platform is in general.
- Samsung: 2017 and newer TVs running Tizen
- Sony Bravia: 2015 and newer TVs running Android TV
- LG: 2018 and newer TVs running webOS 4.0 or higher
- Vizio: P-Series Quantum and Quantum X, M-Series, Quantum, V-Series, E-Series and D-Series running SmartCast 3.0 at a minimum.

- TCL: 3-Series Smart TV (Model 32S330)
On a streaming player
If a smart TV is not supported, there are a number of streaming players that can be used to bridge the support gap and watch Paramount+ shows and movies.

Similar to the situation with smart TVs, many individuals and households might find that the Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Roku support covers most of their streaming player needs. However, there are some limitations that may affect owners of older devices. Currently supported streaming players include:
- Android TV: Nvidia Shield and Xiaomi Mi Box
- Fire TV: Fire TV, Fire Stick and Fire Cube
- Roku: Roku 2, 3 and 4, Roku Ultra and Ultra LT, Roku LT, Roku HD, Roku Streaming Stick (3500x, 3600X or later), Roku Premiere and Premiere+, Roku Express and Express+
For Roku device owners, most variants of each device are supported with a few exceptions. The model numbers listed below are currently not supported:
- Roku LT (2400X, 2450X)
- Roku HD (2500X)
- Roku 2 HD (3000X)
- Roku 2 XD (3050X)
- Roku 2 XS (3100X)
- Roku Streaming Stick (3400X and 3420X)
When it comes to platforms like Android TV, owners of some devices may find they are able to download (or sideloaded) the app on their device, even though it is not listed as an officially supported device. However, it is worth keeping in mind that users might run into performance issues more frequently on unsupported devices. After all, these devices currently lack official support for a reason.
For those without a compatible streaming player, there are other devices that can be used to stream Paramount Plus shows and movies on.
Other devices and via a browser
Besides smart TVs and streaming players, Paramount+ can also be watched on smartphones, games consoles, and even Facebook’s Portal TV.

While there’s currently no Windows PC or Mac apps available, most devices with access to a web browser will be able to stream Paramount+ directly within the browser. Again, this will depend on the browser and version, but the service is relatively well supported in this respect, and can be accessed through the following browsers:

Paramount+ supported devices summary
While Paramount Plus provides a good level of device support in general, not all platforms and devices are supported. The major platforms, including Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV and Roku are compatible. Likewise smart TVs from Samsung, LG and Vizio are all supported as well, so long as they are more recent models and running on a newer software version.
Other than smart TVs and streaming players, Paramount+ subscribers can also watch on their smartphones, tablets, and select game consoles. This is in addition to watching on a Windows PC/laptop, Mac computer or MacBook through a web browser.
