Paramount Plus and Showtime subscriptions can currently be bundled together for as low as $9.99 per month. It was already possible to subscribe to both services together, but this latest promotion results in a cheaper price than usual. However, for some individuals and households, it may still be better to subscribe to these services separately.
A standard Paramount Plus Essential subscription costs $4.99 per month and there is also the option to subscribe to the Premium ad-free version for $9.99 per month. Premium not only removes the ads, but also opens up access to the subscriber’s local CBS channel as well. The cost of a Showtime subscription currently costs $10.99 per month, although this price can vary somewhat depending on how the subscription is created. If signing up directly through Paramount Plus, there is also the option to bundle Showtime at a cheaper monthly rate.
Right now, that monthly bundle rate is even cheaper than normal, resulting in a saving on top of a saving. If signing up through the Paramount+ website, the bundle is currently priced at $9.99 per month for Essential (ad-supported) and Showtime. Although this same deal was available last September, the bundle plan typically costs $11.99 per month, resulting in a saving of $2 each month. Alternatively, the Paramount Plus Premium (ad-free) and Showtime plan is now priced at $12.99 per month, down from its usual $14.99 per month price and also resulting in a saving of $2 each month.
For those that are willing to commit to a subscription for a longer period of time, there’s the option to save even more with an annual plan. The Essential + Showtime annual plan normally costs $119.99 per year, but is now only $99.99, resulting in an average monthly cost of around $8.33. Likewise, the Premium + Showtime plan is down from its usual $149.99 yearly price to $129.99, resulting in an average monthly cost of around $10.83 per month.
As to be expected, this is a limited time deal so the prices could be different if signing up at a later time. In addition, while bundling services together often results in a lower price, it can become problematic if and when trying to cancel one of the services. For some individuals and households, the additional freedom may be worth subscribing separately to these services, even if it results in paying slightly more each month.
Speaking of which, deals and promotions often become available for both of these services which could make subscribing to both cheaper over the course of the year. For example, some T-Mobile customers can actually get Paramount Plus for free. If this promotion is then coupled with a separate deal on Showtime, the cost of both services could end up being considerably cheaper.
