NewsNation will switch to a 24/7 network on June 1. Over the past year, NewsNation has been slowly expanding its programming schedule to provide viewers with more comprehensive coverage. For example, NewsNation previously launched weekend editions of Morning in America with Hena Doba, NewsNation Live, NewsNation Now with Anna Kooiman, and The Hill Sunday with Chris Stirewalt.

On June 1st, the last of that schedule will be filled with an early-evening edition of NewsNation Now with Adrienne Bankert on Saturdays and Sundays from 4-7 p.m. ET. Following which, NewsNation will have fully switched to a 24-hour-per-day Monday through Sunday network.

We are immensely proud to announce that NewsNation is now a 24/7 cable news network,” said Sean Compton, President of Nexstar’s Networks division. “This milestone marks the culmination of our efforts to continue expanding and growing the network since launching it in 2020. It reaffirms our commitment to delivering unbiased news coverage, a mission that resonates deeply with our viewers, fostering their trust in the brand, and strengthening their loyalty to NewsNation.”

In addition to confirming the new programming block, NewsNation also announced three new hires. Along with Anna Kooiman, who joined NewsNation in March as anchor of the weekend edition of NewsNation Now on Saturdays and Sundays, Laura Ingle has been named senior correspondent, and Alicia Nieves is joining as a New York-based correspondent.

If currently looking for a live TV streaming service that includes access to NewsNation, the news channel can be accessed through DirecTV Stream, Fubo, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV (via the News Extra add-on) and YouTube TV. With Sling TV’s plans starting at $40 a month (and the News Extra add-on costing $6 a month), Sling TV is the cheapest option overall.
