New Sling TV subscribers can currently sign up and pay just $15 for their first month. Considering Sling TV costs a minimum of $40 a month, this deal results in a saving of $25 on a full month of live TV.
Sling offers two main packages to choose from, Sling Orange and Sling Blue. While both are priced at $40 a month, Sling Blue subscribers in certain areas pay an additional $5 fee each month for access to ABC. As a result, while new subscribers can sign up to either Sling Orange or Blue for $15, some signing up to the Blue package may end up paying $20 for their first month.
In terms of choosing between these two packages, Sling Orange is largely considered to be the better option for sports and family channels, while Sling Blue is typically the better choice for news and entertainment content.
For those looking for a richer live TV package, it is also possible to bundle the two main packages with Sling Orange & Blue. Normally priced at $55 a month ($60 in some locations due to the ABC fee), the current promotion reduces the price down to $30 (or $35 in ABC areas), resulting in the same $25 discount on the first month.
$40-55/mo
- 30+ channels
- 1-3 streams
- 50-Hour DVR
Deal: First month only $20.
As a reminder, Sling is also still running a $30 off the first three months deal. While this alternate promotion requires the new subscriber to prepay three months, it will work out slightly cheaper ($30 versus $25) over three full months.
Of course, if you’re unsure of whether Sling TV is the right live TV service for you, taking the larger discount on the first month might be the better option.
