Sling TV is now offering new subscribers a 50% discount on their first month, reducing the cost of one month of live TV down to as low as $20.
Sling TV routinely offers different discounts and deals throughout the year and this year has been no different. While the current deal is not as good as the first month for $15 promotion Sling was running recently, the option to get a month for just $20 is a regular Sling TV deal, and a popular one.
The exact price someone will pay for the first month will depend on the plan they choose. Sling offers two main base plans, Sling Orange and Sling Blue, and both of these are priced at $40 a month.
As a result, taking advantage of this promotion with either of these plans will reduce the cost of the first month down to just $20. In some areas, Sling Blue subscribers may pay slightly more due to Sling’s ABC fee.
In addition to the two base plans, Sling also offers a combined Sling Orange & Blue package which brings together the channel lineups from both base plans. Orange & Blue typically costs $55 per month, so this promotion will reduce the price down to $27.50 for the first month.
Regardless of whether you sign up to Sling Orange, Sling Blue, or Sling Orange & Blue, it is important to keep in mind that these plans auto-renew at their usual higher rates after the first month. The only way to avoid this happening is to cancel the Sling TV subscription before the end of the discounted period.
Of course, when considering the cost of other live TV streaming services, some may find that, even at the higher rates, Sling TV is the right live TV provider for them.
