New Roku Pro Series Smart TVs Are Coming Later This Year

If you found Roku’s previous smart TV models to be not quite premium enough for your needs, the company has confirmed a new Pro Series TV lineup is coming soon. As these TVs are being marketed as more premium, they will also be more expensive as well.

Roku announced its first-ever smart TVs at last year’s CES event in Las Vegas. The two new TV lineups then arrived to market later in the year as the Roku Select and Roku Plus Series TVs.

Nearly one year to the day later and Roku is now expanding its lineup of smart televisions with new Pro Series TV models. According to Roku, “the Roku Pro Series delivers a powerful, yet simple streaming experience with brilliant picture quality, immersive audio, and an elegant design to elevate what you’ve come to expect from a TV.”

Details are still a little limited on the new Roku Pro Series TVs, but the company did confirm the lineup will consist of 55”, 65” and 75” sizes. All models also feature a 4K QLED display with Mini-LED local dimming, which appears to be the standout feature and the biggest differentiator from the Select and Plus models.

The new TVs will also feature “enhanced audio technology” for a better sound experience along with “a new modern design” that Roku explains will ensure they can rest flat against a wall.

While Roku has yet to fully confirm availability and pricing for each size, the company did say that the new Roku Pro Series TVs will be available this Spring and retail under $1,500. To put this price into perspective, Roku Select and Plus models ranged between $119 and $999 at launch.
