If you’ve been considering giving Apple TV+ a try, it is currently possible to sign up and take advantage of a two-month free trial. Considering the standard free trial only lasts seven days, this is a good opportunity to test out Apple’s streaming service over a longer time without paying for a subscription.
One of the latest movies to become available to stream on Apple TV+ is Killers of the Flower Moon. Based on a true story, the Martin Scorsese movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Lily Gladstone has received no less than 10 Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture.
To celebrate those nominations, Apple is offering the extended free trial as a way for new customers to check out Killers of the Flower Moon, along with the rest of the Apple TV+ library. According to the offer page (which must be used to redeem the two free months), this extended free trial promotion expires on March 14, 2024.
Although this extended free trial is primarily aimed at new subscribers, “qualified returning” subscribers can take advantage of the offer as well. As Apple doesn’t specify what a ‘qualified returning’ customer is, some may find they aren’t eligible to redeem the extended free trial, based on how recently they canceled their subscription.
If interested in watching The Oscars to see if Killers of the Flower Moon wins any of the awards it is nominated for, the 96th Academy Awards will air live at 7:00 p.m. EDT / 4:00 p.m. PDT on March 10, 2024. The event is due to be shown live on ABC, so access to a live TV plan that includes ABC (or access to a local over-the-air ABC station) will be required.
