The Monumental Sports Network direct-to-consumer subscription service is now officially live, offering sports fans another way to subscribe and watch Washington Capitals, Wizards, and Mystics games.

Late last month, NBC Sports Washington was rebranded as Monumental Sports Network. While the rebrand resulted in those with a live TV plan that included NBC Sports Washington gaining access to the service and new digital experience, those without an eligible TV package had to continue to wait for the direct-to-consumer side to launch.

Now that the direct-to-consumer service is available, it is possible to sign up to a standalone Monumental Sports Network subscription to watch live Capitals and Wizards games, watch game replays for up to 72 hours (subject to league restrictions), and watch additional content including new original programming.

In terms of the price, the cost of a standalone subscription is $19.99 a month. However, there is also the option to subscribe to a Monumental Membership plan for $199.99 a year.

In addition to all of the same features as the monthly plan, Monumental Membership subscribers also get a 20% discount on team merchandise and apparel as well as discounted tickets for select Game of the Month. The first 10,000 subscribers will also receive an exclusive, limited-edition bobblehead set.

For those interested in giving the new digital experience and standalone subscription service a try, the Monumental Sports Network app is available to download on Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, and Roku. It is also possible to watch on mobile devices or through the website on most browser-enabled devices.

As is the case with live TV subscribers accessing the service through TV Everywhere, only standalone subscribers living in the Washington, DC viewing area can watch live games and live shows.
