MGM+ now costs $6.99 a month when purchased through YouTube TV, YouTube Primetime Channels, Apple’s App Store and The Roku Channel Store, resulting in a $1 price increase.

Ever since the rebranding of Epix as MGM+, the cost of a subscription had remained priced at $5.99 a month. As Streaming Better reported yesterday, MGM+ has increased the price of its subscription to $7 a month. With that change having now taken effect for new subscribers, many third-party services offering MGM+ subscriptions have followed suit. So far, YouTube TV, YouTube Primetime Channels, Apple’s App Store and The Roku Channel have all increased the price to match MGM’s own change.

As noted in our previous coverage, the price of the MGM+ Amazon Prime Channel has also increased by $1 a month.

For those signed up to MGM+ through DirecTV Stream, Fubo, Philo and Sling TV, the price of a subscription doesn’t appear to have been impacted by the price increase just yet. However, it is expected these services will eventually get around to increasing the price in the near future.

The cost of the MGM+ annual plan also increased at the same time as the monthly plan, taking the cost up from $49.99 to $58.99 a year. Any third-party services that offer an annual subscription are also likely to increase in price, accordingly. For example, Apple’s App Store is now charging $58.99 for an annual MGM+ plan.

While it remains unclear how these third-party services plan to process existing subscriptions, including when existing subscribers will begin to pay the higher rate, we would expect these details to be communicated directly to affected subscribers before any change takes place.

Streaming Better had already confirmed those signed up to MGM+ through Amazon Prime Channels can expect their price to increase on or after March 1, 2024.
