Max is now running a good Black Friday deal, offering new subscribers the opportunity to sign up and only pay $2.99 a month for each of the next six months.

Considering Max’s ad-supported plan typically costs $9.99 a month, this deal reduces the cost of each month by $7, resulting in a total saving of around $42 over the course of the full 6-month period.

With the deal now live, new subscribers just need to sign up through the Max website to lock in the cheaper price. According to Max, the offer is currently scheduled to remain available through November 27, Cyber Monday, so consumers do have a few days to make up their mind on whether this is the right streaming deal for them.

As the $2.99 a month deal is technically available to both new and returning Max customers, those that have had a subscription in the past may find they can also now resubscribe at the current discounted rate.

However, and regardless of whether a new or returning customer, the deal does only apply to the With Ads Max plan. With no similar offer currently available to either of Max’s Ad Free tiers, those signing up through the promotion can expect to see ads while watching any of the available shows and movies.

As is typically the case with streaming subscriptions deals, the discounted Ad Free plan will automatically revert to the usual, higher price at the end of the discounted six-month period. Providing no price increase take place between now and then, this will result in the subscription automatically renewing at $9.99 a month following the first six months.

For the past couple of months, Max has also been offering subscribers the chance to check out its B/R Sports Add-On at no additional cost. As this premium add-on is also available to With Ads subscribers, those signing up through Max’s Black Friday 2023 deal will also be able to watch sports content for free through February, 2024.
