Local Now has added the Time FAST channel, providing users of the free streaming service with access to additional news coverage, profiles, interviews, documentaries and more.
Time launched its free, ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channel in October, with the channel making its debut on Amazon’s Freevee service. As is typically the case with the launch of any new FAST channels, it was expected that Time’s channel would make its way to other platforms and services in due course.
That expansion in service support begins today, as the Time FAST channel is now available to watch through Local Now. Owned by Allen Media Group, Local Now is a free streaming service that provides access to local news, weather, sports, traffic, and entertainment programming.
With Time having been added to Local Now, users can expect access to national news and entertainment programming created by Time’s award-winning journalists and producers, including Time Reports, Profiles in Time, Time for Health & Science, and Time Documentaries and Film.
The channel has also arrived just ahead of Time’s annual Person of the Year announcement, due to take place on December 6, 2023.
“We are excited to add the Time FAST channel to Local Now’s growing line-up of national news and entertainment channels,” said Byron Allen, Founder/Chairman/CEO of Allen Media Group. “Time is a phenomenal brand and a great addition to Local Now.”
Back in October, Local Now added the USA Today and USA Today Sports channels to its platform. This was following the addition of 18 CBS FAST channels, including 14 CBS News stations and CBS Sports Golazo Network, back in September of this year.
In total, Local Now provides access to over 450 free streaming channels, as well as more than 18,000 movies, TV shows, and documentaries, in more than 225 markets across the U.S.
