Hulu is now in the process of informing Hulu Live TV subscribers that they will soon lose access to the NASA TV channel. The channel is due to be removed from the Hulu Live TV lineup on August 28, 2024, leaving subscribers with around one month to continue watching the channel through their paid live TV package.
As is the case with any channel that’s removed, the loss of NASA TV is due to Hulu no longer having the rights to distribute the channel. The NASA TV channel was originally added to Hulu Live TV back in July 2019.
For those interested in maintaining access to NASA content, including live events, there are a number of options available, many of which are free. For example, the NASA YouTube channel provides access to the live channel, making it an easy way to stream NASA Television programming.
Late last year, NASA launched its own streaming service, NASA+. As NASA+ is a completely free streaming service, there is no subscription to sign up and pay for each month. NASA+ is available to watch for free directly through the website, as well as by downloading the NASA app on supported devices, including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Roku devices.
With the app dedicated to everything NASA, NASA+ is going to be the very best option for those wanting to stream space-related content and programming once NASA TV is removed from Hulu Live TV’s channel lineup.
