Hulu Live TV subscribers are getting access to Tennis Channel, but not until next year. The agreement is the latest deal made by Sinclair with a live TV streaming service and includes access to four channels.

Hulu already carries a number of Sinclair stations. In fact, Hulu and Sinclair found themselves embroiled in a dispute earlier this year, which resulted in some of those stations being temporarily blacked out.

Following the resolution of that dispute, Sinclair has now confirmed that it has agreed a deal with Hulu that will see live TV subscribers getting access to Tennis Channel, T2, Comet and Charge.

Even though the announcement was made during the current tennis season cycle, Tennis Channel, T2, Comet and Charge wont actually become available to Hulu Live TV subscribers until January 2024.

The confirmation of Tennis Channel coming to Hulu Live TV comes shortly after Sinclair agreed a deal with YouTube TV to carry Tennis Channel. In contrast, YouTube TV subscribers didn’t have to wait quite as long to get access to the channel. Following the original announcement in April, Tennis Channel was added to YouTube TV in June.

It is probably worth noting that the original YouTube TV announcement simply confirmed that Tennis Channel would be coming to YouTube TV. Only after the channel had been added did it become clear that Tennis Channel was only available as part of Sports Plus, a paid add-on that has to be bundled on top of YouTube TV’s base live TV plan.

Similar to the original YouTube TV announcement, today’s announcement of Tennis Channel coming to Hulu Live TV did not specify whether Tennis Channel will be available through the base plan, or whether it will also require a paid add-on, such as Hulu’s Sports Add-on.
