Hulu Live TV Loses Fox RSNs, YES Network, & Marquee Sports Network

Fox RSNs on Hulu Live TV

Hulu Live TV will no longer carry Fox regional sports networks (RSNs), YES Network or Marquee Sports Network, starting from October 23, 2020. This comes after YouTube TV also recently dropped Fox RSNs after failing to secure a deal with Sinclair Broadcast Group. With Hulu live having officially now dropped Fox RSNs, the options for streaming consumers are limited.

Sinclair owns or operates many local TV stations across the United States and due to the inability to strike deals with live TV streaming services, regional sports networks have proved increasingly hard for consumers to access without a traditional TV subscription. The most recent example was YouTube TV which dropped Fox RSNs on October 1, 2020.

In a message posted to the service’s help section, Hulu confirmed that starting from October 23, 2020, it no longer has the rights to distribute a number of Fox RSNs, as well as YES Network and Marquee Sports Network. Besides posting the message to its help center, Hulu Live TV is also in the process of emailing affected subscribers to let them know of the change.

List of confirmed Regional Sports Networks dropped by Hulu Live TV:

  • FS Arizona
  • FS Detroit
  • FS Florida
  • FS Midwest (including FS Indiana and FS Kansas City)
  • FS North (including FS Wisconsin)
  • FS Ohio
  • FS Prime Ticket
  • FS San Diego
  • FS South (including FS Tennessee and FS Carolinas)
  • FS Southeast
  • FS Southwest (including FS Oklahoma and FS New Orleans)
  • FS Sun
  • FS West
  • Marquee Sports Network
  • SportsTime Ohio
  • YES Network

Fox RSNs options are limited

Following both YouTube TV and Hulu Live TV having now dropped Fox RSNs, these channels are going to be difficult for consumers to access. fuboTV also dropped Fox RSNs at the beginning of the year and this was after Dish Network dropped Fox RSNs from both its satellite TV service and Sling TV back in 2019.

With fuboTV, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, and YouTube TV having now all dropped Fox RSNs, the only real live TV streaming option left for consumers is AT&T TV NOW, following a fresh agreement with Sinclair in late 2019. Even then, those looking to secure access to all Fox RSNs, as well as YES Network and Marquee Sports Network, will need to opt for the AT&T TV NOW Max plan which starts at $80 per month.

  1. The cost of streaming continues to escalate and the subscribers continue to loose channels. The companies complain to the media that it is loosing subscribers but do they understand that when they raise rates and loose channels it makes us want to look elsewhere for our entertainment.
