New customers can currently sign up to Hulu Live TV (with Disney Plus and ESPN Plus included) for just $49.99 per month for the first three months, resulting in a saving of $20 each month. If currently looking for a robust live TV streaming service with access to plenty of additional content, this might be a deal worth considering.
Hulu Live TV remains one of the more popular live TV streaming services in the U.S. Although it is not one of the cheapest live TV services around, it does come packed with additional content that adds value to a subscription. More recently, Hulu doubled down on this valued-added approach by bundling Disney Plus and ESPN Plus subscriptions with the main live TV plan.
At $69.99 per month, with Disney Plus and ESPN Plus included, a Hulu Live TV subscription does offer good value. Right now, however, it offers even better value with Hulu having already dropped the price down to just $49.99 per month. This discount not only applies to the first month but also the next two months as well, resulting in a maximum saving of $60 over the course of the full three months.
Hulu originally launched this promotion earlier in September, but with the promotion only available up until Wednesday, October 5, 2022, this is the last week to sign up at the discounted rate.
Once the three-month promotional period comes to an end, the subscription will automatically change to the usual, higher price. The only way to avoid this happening is to manually cancel the subscription before the end of the third month. On that point, while the usual, higher price is currently $69.99 per month, the cost of the standard live TV subscription will have risen to $74.99 per month by the end of the third discounted month.
Disney had already confirmed that it was making some changes to the pricing for Disney Plus and ESPN Plus, with those price increases taking effect at different times up until December 8th, 2022. One of the knock-on effects of those changes is that the Hulu Live TV plan with Disney+ (No Ads), Hulu (With Ads), and ESPN+ (With Ads) will increase to $74.99 per month for existing customers. For anyone who signs up for this deal in the next week, they will be considered legacy subscribers and therefore locked in at the then-current $74.99 price. For those signing up to Hulu Live TV after Dec. 8, they will only pay the current, non-promotional $69.99 price. However, their Disney Plus experience will be downgraded to an ad-supported version.
