Premier League returns this weekend, and if you’re based in the United States, then you might need to consider how you will watch games during the 2023-24 season.
The new Premier League season returns on Friday (Aug. 11) when Burnley take on Manchester City at home, and continues through until Sunday 19 May 2024 when all of the teams in the Premier League will play at the same time.
For those that plan to follow as much of the action as they can during the 2023-24 season, Premier League games are scheduled to be shown across NBC, USA Network, and Peacock in the United States. As a result, you will need a subscription to a live TV package that includes access to both NBC and USA Network, as well as a standalone Peacock subscription.
If wanting access to Spanish-language coverage of the 2023-24 Premier League season, then access to Telemundo, Universo, and Peacock will be required.
Watch most games live on Peacock
For those that are willing to be a little more flexible in terms of when they watch games, and especially if they are also looking to save money, Peacock will once again be home to a good number of Premier League games during the 2023-2024 season.
Peacock recently increased the price of its plans, so if you are a new subscriber, or returning for the new season, the cheapest Premium tier now costs $5.99 a month ($1 more than last year). Likewise, the cost of the ad-free Premium Plus tier now costs $11.99 a month ($2 more than last year).

$8-14/mo
- Live Channels
- Live Sports
- NBC & Bravo Shows
Similar to past years, however, Peacock won’t be home to every game. Even though subscribers will still be able to watch replays of every game shown live on Peacock and NBC shortly after the livestream, replays of matches shown live on USA won’t be available to stream on Peacock until the following day.
As a result, a live TV subscription will still be required to watch some games live.
Cheapest options for Premier League games on NBC and USA
As mentioned, access to NBC and USA will be required for any homes wanting access to games that are not due to be shown live on Peacock during the 2023-24 season.
Technically, those signed up to the Premium Plus (ad-free) Peacock plan now get access to their local NBC station as part of their subscription, so that is one option for watching games shown live on NBC.
However, that won’t solve the issue of any games that are shown on USA Network, and you aren’t going to find a live TV plan that offers USA Network without also offering NBC.
The cheapest live TV service offering access to both NBC and USA Network is currently Sling TV.
Sling’s plans start at just $40 a month ($20 for the first month) but only Sling Blue carries both NBC and USA. In addition, NBC is not currently available everywhere in the US through Sling TV, so you may want to verify NBC availability in your local area before signing up.

$40-55/mo
- 30+ channels
- 1-3 streams
- 50-Hour DVR
Deal: First month only $20.
Assuming you will stay subscribed to Sling Blue during the season, the total cost of Sling TV and Peacock will be a minimum of $46 a month.
For those considering shopping around for a live TV plan, below is an overview of all of the live TV streaming services that currently offer access to both NBC and USA Network.
- Sling TV (from $40/month)
- Hulu Live TV (from $70/month)
- YouTube TV (from $73/month)
- DirecTV Stream (from $75/month)
- Fubo (from $75/month)
Again, and regardless of which of these live TV services someone signs up to, they will still need access to Peacock for some games, resulting in an additional minimum cost of $5.99 a month.
Watching Premier League 2023-24 — recap
Combining a Peacock subscription with Sling Blue is the cheapest way to ensure that a home has access to every Premier League game shown during the 2023-24 season. The minimum total cost for both of these subscriptions is $45.99 a month.
If Sling TV isn’t the right service for you, then there are other options available, including DirecTV Stream, Fubo, Hulu Live TV, and YouTube TV. However, the monthly price does increase greatly with these alternative live TV streaming services.
Peacock does offer access to a good number of live Premier League games each week, and for some homes, a Peacock subscription on its own might offer enough Premier League coverage, potentially reducing the cost down to just $5.99 a month.
