Hoopla‘s latest BingePass unlocks access to medici.tv and its extensive selection of concerts, operas, ballets, documentaries, and master classes. This is in addition to various live-streamed events throughout the year.
For those unfamiliar with Hoopla, the library-based service makes it possible to ‘borrow’ access to digital services on a short-term basis using a library card. For example, Hoopla users can already borrow a BingePass for Filmocracy and Hallmark Movies Now.
The latest of these digital services to gain BingePass status is medici.tv. While medici.tv does provide access to some free-to-watch titles, a premium subscription is required to unlock the full catalog, including 1,400+ concerts, 300+ operas, 150+ ballets, 1,200+ documentaries, 200+ master classes and 500+ jazz programs.
As Hoopla users gain access to the equivalent of a premium subscription, they get access to the entire catalog of content. A medici.tv BingePass lasts one week and is available to borrow now through the Hoopla website. As is the case with Hoopla’s BingePass program in general, users can borrow the same BingPass more than once.
“At hoopla, we’re continually striving to find ways to bring unique, engaging content to libraries and their patrons –– and our new medici.tv BingePass achieves that by providing access to classical music and jazz performances to a wide audience,” said hoopla Digital founder Jeff Jankowski. “As libraries evolve to meet patrons’ demand for digital media, our growing BingePass offerings enable libraries to provide diverse streaming content to their patrons with ease and in the format that patrons are accustomed to.”
In addition to the on-demand content that’s available to stream at any time, medici.tv also provides access to more than 150 live streaming events each year. Hoopla users will be able to watch any of these events that are being streamed live on the platform during a BingePass loan.
