Get HBO Max For As Little As $7.99 Per Month (Limited-Time Deal)

HBO Max Savings

HBO Max is currently running a new promotion that allows consumers to sign up for as little as $7.99 per month. The exact saving depends on the plan chosen, but both subscriptions have been discounted as part of this limited-time deal. Although the promotion is only for the first year of service, it is still a good way to save on the cost of HBO Max.

Originally, there was only one HBO Max plan available. Priced at $14.99 per month, the standard plan provides unlimited ad-free access to the streaming service. HBO Max did eventually add a second subscription option which reduces the cost down to $9.99 per month, but the cheaper plan does also come with more limitations than the standard plan, including the use of ads.

Right now, HBO Max is offering the option to sign up and save 20% on the cost of a subscription. In other words, those signing up to the $9.99 per month subscription will only pay $7.99 each month. If opting for the more premium plan, the price of the $14.99 per month subscription drops down to $11.99 per month. Regardless of which plan is chosen, the discount remains in effect for the first twelve months.

It is worth noting that this promotion is not only for new customers, but also those that have had an HBO Max subscription before. In addition to signing up through the HBO Max website, the promotion is also available when setting up a subscription through Amazon, Apple, Google Play and Roku. The promotion went live today (January 12) and is due to come to an end on January 25, 2022.

As to be expected, there are some caveats to be aware of before signing up through this promotion. The main one being a subscriber runs the risk of losing the discount that’s applied each month if making any changes to their account after signing up, such as upgrading or downgrading their plan. Likewise, as the deal is only for the first twelve months, subscribers will need to cancel HBO Max before the end of the last discounted month if they want to avoid the subscription automatically being charged at the higher rate each month.

A final caveat to be aware of is that the discounted monthly rate cannot be combined with an HBO Max free trial (when one is available). In other words, those signing up through this deal will be expected to pay for the first month as part of the signup process, albeit at the cheaper rate.
