Great American Media’s streaming division has now officially been rebranded as Great American Pure Flix. This follows the acquisition of Sony’s Pure Flix streaming service by Great American Media.

Back in May, Great American Media, the owner of Great American Family, confirmed the signing of an agreement to merge the two companies. According to the details at the time, the deal would result in a new independent organization that’s majority owned by Great American Media.

Today it was confirmed that the independent entity is now called Great American Pure Flix. According to the announcement, Great American Pure Flix is a “24/7 companion to Great American Family” and is marketed as “the streaming home to the best in family and faith entertainment.”

For those unfamiliar with Great American Media and Pure Flix, both were independently focused on faith and family-based content, which is what made them a good match for a merger in the first place.

Great American Pure Flix fits seamlessly with the Great American Media family,” said Bill Abbott, President, and CEO of Great American Media. “Our mission is to provide families with quality entertainment that celebrates faith, family, and hometown values wherever and however they enjoy watching.”

For those interested in trying the rebranded and expanded streaming service out, Great American Pure Flix is available through the existing Pure Flix website. While a subscription is required, Great American Pure Flix is offering a 7-day free trial to all new subscribers.

In addition to the existing library of content, some new movies are confirmed to be coming to Great American Pure Flix over the next few weeks and months.

Divine Influencer starring Lara Silva and directed by Shari Rigby arrives tomorrow (September 15), while Harvest Homecoming starring Trevor Donovan and Jessica Lowndes is available on October 6. Birthright Outlaw starring Lucas Black and Sarah Drew will also be available to stream on October 13.

A range of new Christmas movies are also set to become avaialble beginning in November, and starring Great American stars including Candace Cameron Bure, Lori Loughlin, Danica McKellar, Trevor Donovan, and Jen Lilley.
