fuboTV is now available on Vizio SmartCast TVs providing subscribers with another device option for accessing live TV channels and watching on demand content with a subscription. Vizio smart TV users have been gaining support for a number of additional streaming apps and services recently, with fuboTV just the latest example.
fuboTV is proving to be an increasingly popular option for accessing live TV over the internet and especially for those specifically interested in live sports. A standard subscription costs $64.99 per month and provides access to more than 100 channels. Consumers also have the option of upgrading from the Starter to the Elite plan which improves the channel selection while also increasing the number of cloud DVR hours and simultaneous streams.
fuboTV also comes with a good general level of hardware support considering the live TV service is available to watch on a number of different devices, including smart TVs, streaming players, and mobile devices. Adding to the list of compatible devices, fuboTV is now also available to stream on all 2016 or newer Vizio SmartCast TVs.
As is typically the case, Vizio TV users don’t need to download the app with fuboTV now available to access directly from the app row on the SmartCast Home Screen. Once opened, the Vizio TV user will need to first sign in with their existing fuboTV account details before they can watch live TV or any of the on demand content that’s available with a subscription.
Vizio SmartCast TV users have been gaining a few apps in quick succession recently. For example, HBO Max arrived on the platform at the start of the month and this was only a short time after Locast landed. However, Locast has since ceased all operations making the recently gained access to the local live TV app somewhat redundant now.
Still, with fuboTV available, Vizio SmartCast TV users now have an additional live TV streaming service to consider signing up to, while existing subscribers also now have the option of watching live TV directly on their smart TV without having to connect an additional player or device.
