fuboTV and showtime

fuboTV subscribers can currently watch Showtime for free. This is a limited-time promotion which only lasts a few days. However, it does include all nine Showtime channels and there is nothing existing fuboTV subscribers need to do to activate the free channels, other than open the app and start watching.

fuboTV is becoming an increasingly popular option for anyone looking to stream live TV channels over the internet. While the service does focus heavily on sports, it has expanded its channel lineup to include more entertainment channels. Besides the channels included with the main plans, subscribers can add premium subscriptions to their live TV package.

Currently, fuboTV subscribers can add either Showtiime, Starz, Epix or AMC Premiere. Although these premium subscriptions are not usually any cheaper, bundling them with a live TV package is one way to reduce the number of subscriptions and apps that need to be managed on a monthly basis.

Right now, all existing fuboTV subscribers are getting access to all nine Showtime channels for free. The promotion went live on Sunday February 14 and the free access will remain available through Wednesday, February 17. There’s nothing to do to enable the free Showtime with the channels having automatically been added to the channel guide.

A nice, but short fuboTV perk

It is not uncommon for live TV streaming services to provide a free preview of premium channels and it can be a good way for consumers to test whether a premium subscription is right for them without having to pay. While this is only a seventy-two hour free window, it should be long enough to check out some of what Showtime has to offer. For example, some of its most popular shows include Homeland, Ray Donovan and Shameless, and there are a number of movies to pick from, including 1917, Hereditary, and The Gentlemen.

Once the free period ends, fuboTV subscribers will need to add Showtime to their live TV package through the account section, if they want to continue watching. However, at $10.99 per month, it is not any cheaper subscribing through fuboTV than it is directly through Showtime. Not to mention, Showtime currently offers a 30-day free trial before having to pay the monthly rate.
