fuboTV has now added Bally Sports San Diego and Bally Sports Great Lakes completing its rollout of the various Bally Sports RSNs that started back in February. Of course, this also means that those now gaining access to their local RSN may also be subject to a monthly regional sports network fee.
fuboTV confirmed that it had struck a deal to add Bally Sports RSNs to its channel lineup in December 2022. The announcement also made clear that the channels would be added in the coming weeks. Technically, it took around six weeks with the majority of those RSNs starting to go live on February 6th.
At the time, Bally Sports San Diego and Bally Sports Great Lakes were both excluded from the rollout. While fuboTV didn’t explain why, it did confirm the plan was to add the two channels by the end of February. With a few days to spare, fuboTV has now officially added both regional sports networks for subscribers that live in San Diego and Ohio.
Along with the introduction of the various Bally Sports RSNs, fuboTV also made some wholesale changes to its regional sports fee. These changes not only resulted in the price increasing, but also those gaining access to more than one RSN paying an even higher fee each month.
With Bally Sports San Diego and Bally Sports Great Lakes now going live, this now may mean that subscribers in affected San Diego and Ohio areas may also see their monthly live TV price increase, accordingly.
As a reminder, the RSN fee is applied to all subscribers in areas where fuboTV now provides access to regional sports networks, and there’s no way of getting around the charge.
