Fubo had added Yes Network to its channel lineup and just in time for New York Yankees Opening Day coverage. The Yankees take on the Houston Astros later today, and Fubo subscribers can now tune in from 3:00 pm ET to watch the pre-game show.
The new multi-year agreement sees Yes Network added to Fubo’s Pro base plan. Considering Pro is the cheapest live TV package, all subscribers to one of Fubo’s English-language packages are gaining access to Yes Network. However, as this is a regional sports network, only those in the network’s broadcast territory will be able to access the channel through Fubo.
“Fubo is thrilled to bring New York Yankees and Brooklyn Nets coverage to fans in the New York City area just in time for the 2024 season,” said Todd Mathers, senior vice president, content strategy and acquisition, Fubo. “The addition of the YES Network to Fubo’s robust baseball offering – which is broader than any other streaming platform’s – means Yankees fans won’t miss a single pitch on YES. And, as Fubo is the only streaming platform to offer YES in its base plan, everyone in the family can enjoy the sports, news and entertainment content they love at an attractive price point.”
This is the second regional sports network that Fubo has added in recent weeks. Earlier this month, the live TV service added Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) to its channel lineup, unlocking access for Baltimore Orioles fans across a seven-state region.
If now considering signing up to Fubo to access Yes Network, the live TV service is currently running a promotion that reduces the price of the first month by $20. This discount takes the cost of Pro down to $59.99 for the first month and Elite down to $69.99 for the first month. In many locations, new subscribers will need to pay a regional sports fee on top of these prices.
