Fubo has added Willow TV and Willow Xtra to its International Sports Plus add-on, providing subscribers with access to cricket content. The channels have also been added just in time for the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup, which begins June 1 when USA take on Canada.
Priced at $6.99 a month, the International Sports Plus add-on unlocks access to ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, Fox Soccer Plus, GolTV (in English and in Spanish), TyC Sports, Zona Futbol and five ‘Fubo Sports’ branded channels. With the addition of Willow TV and Willow Xtra, add-on subscribers now get access to 15 additional sports channels in total.
According to the announcement, the multi-year agreement with Willow by Cricbuzz ensures that more than 220 live cricket matches will be available to stream each year on Fubo.
“Cricket is one of the fastest growing sports in North America and what better time to bring Fubo subscribers all the live action of this historic and globally-loved game than for the start of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup,“ said Todd Mathers, senior vice president, content strategy and acquisition, Fubo. “Fubo is the only multichannel platform aggregating sports from the major leagues to niche favorites, and delivering it through a single personalized and intuitive streaming experience. We’re thrilled to work with our partners at Willow by Cricbuzz to bring this rising sport to our customers.”
It has been a busy week for Fubo. The live TV streaming service finally launched its unlimited DVR on Tuesday, with the additional recording space available to all subscribers, including those signed up to the Latino package.
Even earlier in the month, Fubo agreed a new multi-year carriage deal with Diamond Sports Group, ensuring Bally Sports RSNs remain available to subscribers.
