MLB.TV Is Coming To Fubo As A New Add-On Option

Fubo subscribers will soon be able to add MLB.TV to their live TV package as an add-on. Fubo already offers subscribers a good amount of baseball, and with the addition of MLB.TV, it will be filling in a major MLB gap in its coverage.

For example, with access to MLB Network, MLB Strike Zone, ESPN, FS1, RSNs, and local channels, Fubo says that it will be offering “the most baseball coverage compared to any other streaming platform” after adding MLB.TV.

Of course, having access to is not quite the same as having it included with a plan. For example, MLB Network is currently only available with the Fubo Extra or Sports Plus add-ons, increasing the monthly cost of a base plan by either $7.99 or $9.99.

Access to MLB.TV will be offered in a similar way with the channel only available to bundle with a package as an add-on. According to Fubo, MLB.TV will cost an additional $24.99 per month on top of a base plan. At this price, the add-on through Fubo won’t be any cheaper than signing up through the MLB.TV website. In addition, signing up directly also offers the option to save on the cost by subscribing to an annual plan or by only paying for a single team.

In spite of the fewer options, having access to MLB.TV directly within the same app and interface as all of their other baseball coverage will be a major benefit.

For any subscribers that are now considering adding MLB.TV, Fubo hasn’t said explicitly when it will be available, but does state that the add-on will go live “in the coming days” and ahead of Opening Day on March 30th.
