Freevee users will get access to more than 100 Amazon Originals that, up until now, have only been available to watch with a Prime Video subscription. Considering Freevee is a free streaming service, this will be good news for users that are not currently signed up to Amazon Prime.

Freevee was previously known as IMDb TV. However, it underwent a rebranding around this time last year with the name seemingly designed to more clearly focus on the fact that it is a free streaming service.

In spite of being free, Freevee does offer access to a good amount of content, and it looks like the library is set to expand massively thanks to an injection of more than 100 Amazon Originals that will make their way from Prime Video to Freevee during this year.

For those interested in the new free content, the first three episodes of the Amazon Original The Summer I Turned Pretty are due to become available for free starting May 26. Also in May, Freevee users will be able to tune in to episodes of A League of Their Own, The Terminal List, and Paper Girls, as well full seasons of Goliath, The Tick, Homecoming, and Upload, and movies like The Vast of Night.

Later in the year, the entire first seasons of Reacher and The Wheel of Time will both also become available to stream for free on Freevee.

While these shows and others will be making their way to Freevee over the coming weeks and months, they will continue to remain available to watch through Prime Video for those that prefer an ad-free viewing experience.

In the same announcement, Amazon also confirmed that the Freevee Originals FAST channel has now been rebranded as Amazon Originals, a move designed to highlight that the free, ad-support channel now includes original content from both Freevee and Prime Video.
