Following a new distribution agreement for Fox News Media’s subscription service, Fox Nation will soon be available through Sling TV and Sling Freestream as an add-on. With this being a standalone streaming service, Sling TV subscribers and Sling Freestream users will need to pay $5.99 a month to access Fox Nation.
According to the announcement, Fox Nation is due to go live as a Sling TV and Freestream add-on beginning mid-March, which would seem to suggest support is due to go live within the next week.
“We’re thrilled to partner with Dish and Sling to make our on-demand content more readily available to viewers who crave Fox Nation,” the announcement said.
For those planning to sign up through Sling TV, the add-on will be available to bundle with both base packages as well as the combined Sling Orange & Blue plan. Subscribers will be able to add the service by heading to My Account, clicking on Edit Subscription, and scrolling down to the Premium section.
If considering signing up through Sling Freestream, it is worth keeping in mind that a Freestream account will be required. While Freestream can be accessed for free without an account, premium features, including the ability to subscribe to premium networks, requires an account.
As the distribution agreement includes Dish TV, Dish customers will also be able to add Fox Nation to their live TV package beginning mid-March for an additional $5.99 a month. Once added, Fox Nation will be available to watch on channel 296 in the Dish guide.
